This time we will tell you about an incredible story. This innocent little dog was taken to a shelter where they are responsible for sacrificing animals if they do not find a family to adopt them.

It doesn’t matter how old they are, whether they are healthy or not, in these shelters they euthanize all those animals that live on the streets, as it is a measure used by the government to prevent the overpopulation of stray dogs.

But, the dog we will tell you about now was less likely to stay alive, since its owner asked the shelter’s veterinarian to put his pet to sleep, because a huge ball had grown in his stomach that continued to grow.

It was notable that the animal was suffering and according to the shelter veterinarian, he had been carrying that large ball for about a year, and after examining it, it was diagnosed as a tumor of approximately 4 kilos, and the decision the veterinarian made will leave you with his mouth open.

The vet knew that this breed of dog was not very common, so after the owner left the animal there to be put to sleep, he made a post on the shelter’s social network to find its former owner and inform him that the dog I still had salvation.

The owner never showed up, but a social organization called “Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue” could not resist the impact that the photograph caused them and decided to organize a collection to operate on the dog.

They were sure that at the shelter they would put an end to the animal’s pain, causing its death, since the state does not have the necessary resources to surgically operate on all the animals that arrive at that place.

Despite this and luckily for this little dog, the organization intervened and sent a letter to the shelter manager. His action was filled with nothing but kindness and love.

Through several collections, they managed to raise the money for Gilbert’s operation (as they named him) and in a matter of a week, this happy little dog had emerged successfully from this terrible disease.

A short time was enough for Gilbert to become a happy and playful dog again, since he no longer had that heavy 4 kilo tumor that did not allow him to move freely. The association also organized a party for him to celebrate the success of the operation, and they looked for someone to adopt him.

This is how a loving family decided to adopt Gilbert and he finally found a beautiful home where they filled him with love.

It’s fantastic to see how there are still people who act selflessly and are always willing to help these innocent and unfortunate street dogs. Today it is Gilbert who lives happily and we know that the “Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue” association continues to work on these wonderful works of charity and love.
